The Worthy Pursuit Ministry Team:
Ginger Gann, raised by a single mom, until age ten, longed to meet the "good father" described from the church pulpit. However, many years of bad choices and consequence passed before she gratefully and wholeheartdly surrendered to a real, authentic, (yet imperfect) relationship with her "heavenly" father. Her worthy pursuit led to God given opportunities to minister to children, youth/college, and women of all ages, while teaching Sunday school and bible studies. God placed a passion in Ginger's heart for HIS life giving word, and the unquenchable desire to share, through the holy spirit, the transforming power his word contains. Ginger is the wife of a Pastor, the mother of three and the "Grand" Mother of four! Originally from the South, she is a long time resident of Oklahoma, and graduated with a degree in American Sign Language from Oklahoma State University. As a Women's Ministry Leader, a Retreat Facilitator and Speaker, it has been a privilege, for the past 15 years, to share the amazing God-incendents of her personal journey with other women. She remains inexpressibly grateful for God's unconditional love, all sustaining power, perfect healing, unwarrented grace, rich mercy, and continued blessing over her life.
Amy Spear felt called to speak for the Lord her sophomore year in college, but never really knew when or how God was going to bring about that calling in her heart. She has been involved in women's ministry at her church for 9 years and has spoken at their annual retreat each year. God has placed a passion on her heart for teaching God's word and she has applied that passion as a Sunday School teacher for college age students and now young adult classes. She has taught Sunday School for almost 11 years. Amy is currently taking classes to get her Masters in Biblical Theology to increase not only her knowledge of God's Word but to increase her passion and love for her God. Wade, Sally, Owen, and Rosie are her first and foremost life's ministry. Wade and Amy have been married 12 years and count it a blessing every day to raise their 3 beautiful children, Sally age 7, Owen age 4, and Rosie 2. They love to brag on their children, go to the movies, swim, go to the lake, and just enjoy life with family and friends!
Marilyn is a person who loves adventure so clearly that the notion of pursuing our amazing God is an exciting and worthy journey. Her spiritual venture began in a Christ centered youth group where she came to know Christ as Savior and Lord. It continued through College ministies, Sunday School classes, small group bible studies, and fellowship with other people who shared her desire to know God more personally. Growing in her relationship with God, she was called to serve in different areas at church. She has directed several church programs, been a Sunday School teacher, and now serves on the Womens Ministry team at her church. It has been a humbling yet exciting experience to teach at her church's retreat for the last seven years. As she seeks to walk in God's purpose for her life she is asking that our Lord Jesus Christ and the glorious Father may give her the Spirit of wisdom and revelation so that she may know Him and serve Him better.
Marilyn and her husband Jerry have been married 28 years and thoroughly enjoy being the parents of Emily, Sarah, and Audra. Marilyn also has a love for everything outdoors and every type of travel. She enjoys bicycling, hiking, gardening, fitness training, and traveling to all parts of God's creation.
Witty, a delightful sense of humor, entrepreneur, and a heart for ministry would best describe Carol Sasnett. She is the wife of Ed Sasnett, Pastor of Northeast Baptist Church, mother of four daughters, and grandmother to soon to be 10 grandchildren. It is clear that Carol has devoted her life to her family and to God. Together the entire Sasnett family serves the Lord, which is a testimonty to this familys heart for God.
A highlight of Carols's ministry is being a part of developing and speaking at Women Retreat's for 13 years. Helping to design a "retreat" of fun, laughter, reflection, and renewal is a passion and love in her life. Carol's life aspirations are to help her husband with their ministry, enjoy her granchildren, and fulfill one of her favorite Bible passages; Ephesians 5:10 "And find out what pleases the Lord".
Sarah Neal was raised in Norman Oklahoma with her parents and 3 older sisters. Growing up in a house of girls was an adventure of dolls, makeup, dresses and bows. She was called "Sweet Sarah" by all that knew her for her kind, sensitive spirit. So it is no wonder that she loves being the daughter of the Most High God, and has found her calling to encourage women to embrace who God has called them to be and live daily in His word.
Sarah is so grateful for Gods mercy and love that she can't help but speak about his goodness to others, thru teaching youth, college, adult small groups and currently childrens Sunday School. She counts it her greatest honor to be the wife of Brady and mother to two sons, Graham age 4 and Andrew a year old. Her life is still an adventure- only this time with super heros, robots, Legos and yes even an occasional "bear hunt".
